Bitterness, hatred, woven within
Poisoning inwardly under the skin
Eyes burning fiercely, intensity grows
Deep is the pain that now vibrantly shows
Heart locked, enclosed in a cage of restraint
Pride guards the doors, too daring to faint!
Daunt feeds the wounds infected yet closed,
And opens them up again vulnerably posed.
Not daring to touch or be seen by the eye
Living in death, discouraged to cry…
