Fear Is Creeping Down My Spine

My hands began to shake
O’ my soul awake!
My feet can scarcely walk;
My mouth can barely talk
My voice can say no more
He has spoken; all is sure
Stunned by his Grace; his Grace alone
For all of his love he has shown
Fear is creeping down my spine
Fear of justice for my crime
Lest it eat away my life
Bearing me and all my strife
Take away my joy and home;
Set me in the sea alone
Cast me down; leave me bare
Horrid, lonesome, white, despaired.
Weak and sinful; nothing have I
All that abides is Grace, till I die.
Grace he gives, undeserved to all
Grace to them that fall.
Accept! Believe! Love, do, and go!
And he you shall forever know.
Now I stand before his thrown
Clothed in glory of his Own
Hugs me, holds me as his son
He is the redeemer, everlasting one.
