The Feast of Thanksgiving
By Nathan Thorp

Thanksgiving is a day when all buckle down and pray,
Since the day the Pilgrims said thanks for the feast,
Thanksgiving day has been a day to think,
On how fortunate we are.
But then there is the other side of thanksgiving,
Relatives come, except for some, who are antisocial.
The stuffing, cranberry sauce, potatoes, gravy,
And don’t forget your Turkey!
All who come, soon are done,
And are stuffed to the rim;
There is still so much pie to be had!
But then again we sometimes get all caught up
In our own turkey pleasure,
And forget the real reason for thanksgiving:
Thanks-giving
