Unnoticed

A single rose in the midst of the rest
An outcast in the empty seas
A single cry from the voids of space
A tear of sadness falls from her cheek
She sits huddled, alone on this continual spinning ball
Pale and fragile, nothing outwardly to give
Locked and cherished deep inside
A gentle touch, a stroke of love
But this, unfortunately, cannot be shown on our earth
They pass her by; not even to glance
Never looking deep within
Through all the hustle the fire dies; she withers away
The ball spins on.
